Thrive Senior Living Invites Local Artists to Participate in Mural Contest

ATLANTA (March 17, 2022) – Striving to create a place where everyday living is beautiful, Thrive Senior Living is seeking local artists to contribute to the community’s aesthetics by creating murals at its Convivium Coffee Company. The coffee crafter located just inside the doors of the state-of-the-art Thrive at Montvale has two corresponding brick walls that will serve as a canvas for local artists to permanently display their talents through two murals designed to inspire and unite the community.

“Our vision for Thrive at Montvale is to make it our most vibrant community yet,” said Thrive President & CFO Sebby Kannukkaden. “This community will bear no resemblance to the more clinical days of old, and the mural project will be just one example of our commitment to creating a more healthy, vibrant and engaging atmosphere. We hope the murals will bring color and life to the Convivium walls -- a perfect tribute to our surrounding community and our residents.”

Thrive Senior Living is seeking family-friendly, inspirational and Instagram-worthy designs that are inspired by Montvale. The approximate size of each wall is 9 feet 6 inches high and 8 feet wide. All submissions must be original art, and the artists must be able to paint the design themselves. Artists may submit a single design for one brick wall, a design that encompasses both brick walls or a design for each brick wall. Artists can enter as individuals or as a group with a designated lead. The winner(s) and their painting will be included in various marketing efforts including press releases and social media photography and videos. Winner(s) will receive a total cash prize of $500, in addition to reimbursement for art materials used for the project.

Artists must provide:

• Concept sketch of the mural design
• Statement providing the story behind their proposed artwork
• Production schedule and materials needed (breakdown of supplies and costs)
• Portfolio and artist biography or resume
• Relevant experience painting murals and/or painting on brick

Submissions should be sent via email at mural@thriveatmontvale.com by the deadline of 11:59pm on March 31, 2022. The winner will be announced April 15, 2022 via the Thrive at Montvale website and Facebook page.

Thrive at Montvale is Thrive Senior Living’s newest venture in creating more connected, human-centric senior living spaces. The new community will highlight Thrive’s mission: forming social communities focused on the connectiveness of the human experience. In addition to Convivium Coffee Company, Thrive at Montvale will feature amenities such as chef-inspired restaurants, a 33,150 square-foot interior greenspace and top-of-the-line exercise facilities.
